The book was about a mouse, Robert, ignoring his family’s rule about going into the snow and gets lost because he loved playing in the snow. He tries to find from a person but forgets to bury his tail with him. The person picks him up and places him back into the house safe and sound. Once the mice are able to go outside in the spring they find a shoe, new home, and cannot contain their excitement. Only Robert knows that it was Santa Clause because he was the one to place him back into his home. I loved that the book used onomatopoeia's throughout the story because they help children stay engaged and could be used when students are learning about them. ( ) This is a great book for emergent readers. I really liked this picture book for children. The language was very descriptive throughout the book. I liked that the author made the audience picture the little mouse in their head. The illustrations really enhanced the story. They really got the audience to see what the mouse went through during a snow storm. The characters were believable in a fantasy world. We all know that mice cannot talk. The point of view was in third person with quotations that the mouse was saying. The book pushes readers to think about a time when they wanted to do something, then when they finally did it they were very disappointed. This is what the mouse went through with snow. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
