This story teaches its readers that boasting about yourself is not the way that people are chosen. It tells of all the animals on Noah's ark talking themselves up in hopes to be chosen to go find a branch after the rain stops causing a flood. Noah finally chooses a humble dove at the end of the book that gently tells Noah what he believes to be true about God and all of his creation. ( )

Summary:
Many animals heard of news of a flood and wanted Noah to pick them to survive on his boat. The animals all argued and exclaimed to Noah why they should be chosen. Noah chose the dove because he was silent, not bitter or conceited, so the dove was his special messenger.

Personal Reaction:
This book was really good and can teach the children to be humble and never tell why they are better than someone, but be friendly with everyone. This book was very cute and could definitely teach children a lesson.

Classroom Extensions:
1.The children could draw a picture of Noah on the arch with all the animals.
2.The children could all get in a group and give each other compliments.
3.The children could draw a pretty picture of the class all together. ( )

Summary: The animals fought about why they thought they should be saved while the Dove remained silent. Noah was pleased with the dove's response when asked why he wasn't getting in the middle of the argument so he chose the dove to be the messenger.
Personal Reaction: I really enjoyed this book. It could be used as a life lesson. It could show the kids that if they calmly explain their reason rather than fight they could solve a lot and learn about themselves.
Classroom Extensions:
-The book could be read to a class who may not get along.
-The kids could draw animals.
-The kids could draw an ark.
