The more information we read about whales, the more questions he had! It is a great book full of information, reminds me of the books I used to read from national gepgraphic for kids where I learned about interesting subjects. Great presentation! Whales is an informational text about various aspects of whales. It compares how whales are similar to humans and other mammals, illustrates the difference between whales and fish, and gives a brief bio of several different types of whales. The print is large but there is a lot of text in the book. It is probably best suited for upper elementary and middle school. There were some incredible facts included in this book and some really interesting comparisons. The pictures were gorgeous and a lot of information was covered. However, I felt that it needed to be more clearly organized with chapters or headings. I also felt that the "protect the whales" page at the end was kind of thrown in. It seemed like the message might have been repeated throughout. Whales, is a book themed around...Whales of course! It is a great book chuck full of information about these animals. I would use this book in my teaching if we were do a lesson on aquatic life. I like this book becuase of the beautiful pictures it contains. I would recommend this book to children in grades 5-6. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
