( ) Leo Lionni does it again in "Matthew's Dream". A whimsical and colorful story about a mouse who is inspired to become an artist after a visit to the museum. The beautiful illustrations bring the story to life and you can feel the happiness that Matthew feels when he looks at and then later creates art. I felt this books on a deeper level was a testament to how much art can have an impact on a person's life. Lionni is one of my favorite author's and this books did not fall short of his normal work. Lionni strikes again. Marvelous, thoughtful, inspiring books for families willing to slow down to appreciate life, art, joy, and friendship. Turn off the screens, don't try to read a whole stack of picture books in one day, let silence find you so you can let your dream approach, then heed Matthew's example and follow it. (If you read my reviews, you know I don't always follow my own advice. But it's terrific books like this that remind me to do so at least sometimes. ;) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
