Fox is told to watch his sister but he ends up losing her and then he buys her an ice cream cone so she will not tell. This book is fun for younger kids. The font is big and the pictures are fun for younger kids. Fox is funny, sly, and a typical kid with a tag-along sister, Louise. Their adventures make me laugh because Louise is particularly mischievous. She is usually in tow with Fox and when he is not looking, Louise disappears, causing Fox to wonder and worry. These stories are easy to read for strong readers in kindergarten or 1st grade. Once you get to know Fox, you will want to read the whole series! This book is a wonderful example of a fantasy, as a group of friends represented as personified animals partake in several learning adventures together. Although the story is a fantasy, the plot and setting is very realistic, and it is not hard for one to imagine being in similar scenarios. For example, Fox learns to become more responsible as he feels guilty for leaving his job as a crossing guard. He later speaks with the dog who counts on him for his crossing needs, and Fox knew at that moment that it is better to continue what you are committed to, rather than suddenly changing plans. Overall, young reader will easily be engaged with the reality and witty humor within this book. Age Appropriateness: Primary/ Intermediate sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
