Great Editon to the collection. Recommended ( )

This book was supposed to be that last one in the series, and the book's jacket even says it. However it isn't, because he released The Faeman Quest, the fifth installment in the series. Faerie Lord for me just did not have the same magic as the previous three. It was far too short, and the story was just not as interesting as the others. The aging disease and the introduction of angels were interesting elements in the stories plot, however it just wasn't enough for me to not be let down by this book. Oh well c'est la vie sometimes. ( )

Two years have past since the last book, and now Henry is asked to return to Faerie World by Mr. Fogarty to help end an aging disease.
It was a good ending to a great series. I enjoyed reading about Henry's adventures these past few books. ( )

Ripensando all'intera saga, qualche parte è banale (suprattutto nel primo volume e un pò il finale di questo), ma alcune altre trovate compensano abbondantemente.

L'aspetto più importante, come sempre in storie di questo genere, è il percorso di crescita che i protagonisti maturano. Con tutti gli annessi e connessi: le paure, i mezzi inadatti, le scarse probabilità di riuscita, e la voglia di mollare tutto quando ci si trova davanti a situazioni tanto razionalmente insensate quanto reali.

In questa saga, e in quest'ultimo volume in particolare, si ritrovano tutte queste cose... e tutte insieme fanno tremendamente pensare alle analogie con la vita, quella vera.

Ammetto di non aver gradito moltissimo il primo volume, ma il giudizio complessivo è positivo. Consiglio la saga a chi abbia voglia di una storia piacevole ma non troppo "seriosa". ( )
