This is a good example of a fantasy because the animals in the book do all the same things that humans do. Franklin and his friends have all the emotions that humans do and they participate in the same everyday activities as most of the kids who will be reading the book.

Plot: This is a great example of a good plot because it has a good storyline leading up to its climax and then the problems are all resolved by the end.

This book describes of how a friend told Franklin a secret and asked him not to tell anyone yet about a flag he had made for a surprise. When Franklin told others and his friend found out, he was very mad at him and in a scuffle, the flag was ripped in half. Franklin's friend was very upset with Franklin and Franklin had to learn the importance of saying he was sorry about what he had done. This teaches children the importance of apologizing for their wrongdoings and certain actions and the difference it can make.
