All of the Irregulars have secrets but they work together to keep each other safe & fight crime.

This was a very interesting book, it was easy to read and certainly kept my interest.

I won't go out of my way to read the previous book or any others in the series, but it I would recommend it to young girls who like adventure series & want to read more about female protagonists. ( )

A great addition to the Kiki Strike series. This time the group is back discovering more about Oona, who has a pretty shifty history herself (in a group with someone like Kiki, that's saying something). The story is good, the pacing is good, the style is always enjoyable. ( )

Another great mystery in the Kiki Strike series. This one focuses on Oona Wong, the most mysterious member of the Irregulars, and her family history. There is the matter of her father, who is not necessarily a good guy; a boy who lives in Central Park with a number of pickpocketing squirrels; and also a ghost. On to book 3! ( )

Kiki Strike The Empress's Tomb was another mystery featuring Kiki Strike and the Irregulars. I loved the first book in this series, Kiki Strike Inside the Shadow City, but I wasn't sure what to expect with the second, as it was much harder to get my hands upon.

Everyone has secrets. The girls' bonds are stretched to the limits as they discover that they haven't been completely honest with one another, and some of the things that they've held back can have a profound effect on their success as a new rash of crimes and mysteries present themselves to the girls. Giant squirrels muggers, missing artists, and crazy scientists studying child prodigies are only part of the problem in this fast paced, funny tale.

I loved this one as much as the last, but I'm a little worried because, while almost every problem gets solved, the book ends with a cliffhanger, and I can't find any information about a forthcoming follow-up. ( )

The Empress' Tomb is the second book in the Kiki Strike Series. I enjoyed this book but not quite as much as the first volume. Oona is in the spotlight this time around. It is revealed in this volume that the mysterious Lester Liu in addition to being the leader of the Fu- Tsang, is also Oona's father. The plot of this book was complicated and hard to follow at times. I felt the book had too much filler and not as much substance as the first book. All in all it was a good book but not a stand out like the first volume. I give this book 3 stars. ( )
