Eve Shaw's beautiful colored pencil drawings feature grandmothers of all ages and races in both traditional and nontraditional occupations related to each letter of the alphabet. It encourages discussion of "What do you want to be when you grow up?" and stimulates the answer, "Anything I want to be." This book could be used in the early elementary grade levels to practice the alphabet and to help them realize that they can be anything that they want to be when they grow up as long as they work hard and try their best. This is kind of like your normal ABC book as it goes through all of the letters in the alphabet. It tells a story about a grandmother and the different types of jobs she can do that goes with that letter. It provides the children with a new prospective on the alphabet. They get a little insight on all of the different types of jobs there is out in the world. It can give them a little more variety when they are asked the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?". sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
