I really liked this book for children to learn how to swim. The book shows that a chicken was afraid to swim but with a little determination and help from Hailey, she was able to swim in the ocean. The language was very descriptive. There was just enough details for the audience to understand what was happening in the story. The writing was very engaging. The story line was very engaging as well. I would have never thought that the main character would be a chicken. The plot was very believable. Children are always afraid to swim. After reading this book, they may have the confidence to do something they never believed that they could do. The illustrations help enhance the story by having realistic pictures to relate to their audience. Have you ever been afraid to swim? Olvina the chicken is vacationing with her penguin friend, Hailey, and tells her she is afraid to swim. In Hawaii there are a lot of places for swimming so Hailey wants to help her. Hailey starts Olvina off in the bathtub and then takes her to the pool. With arm floaties and kind encouragement, Olvina realizes she can swim and that it is a lot of fun. This is a cute story that shows with help from a friend, you can do anything. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
