While I would normally avoid anything Martha Stewart like the plague, the fact that the subject was Halloween made it palatable. Great ideas for those of us who are "spooky people" ( ) A first glance through this book will leave you wondering why Martha apparently wants you to burn your house down, but as you look closer you'll see that many of the effects have been achieved more safely with electrical lighting. This book tries very hard to capture the feel of a traditional New England Halloween of days gone by and for the most part succeeds. Some of the projects are more practical than others, but there are still plenty of ideas to draw inspiration from here. I was especially fond of her bottled ghosts and handmade pumpkin candles along with the wide array of carved pumpkins and other lit decorations. I can't speak to the recipes she's included, although I was highly amused to realize that she's "borrowed" the idea of tea-dyed eggs from Asian cuisine to fill in as a creepy food. Overall I would recommend this book to people who love Halloween, be it in October or all year round. If nothing else, the beautiful images and scenes are sure to inspire. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
