I was thrilled to learn that Jody Hedlund wrote another book in this fantastic series! I do recommend reading the books in order as it gives you the best background to the holy water and its impact. This time slip novel is so unique and the plot so engaging that I had a hard time putting it down. I really liked the two main characters and their developing relationship in the book. And, of course, I loved the sizzling romance between Sybil and Nicholas, in true Jody Hedlund fashion. The action and twists in the book were so well written I found myself reading late into the night to finish the story. I loved reading about the way the characters grew closer together through the trials they faced. I highly recommend this series!

Jody Hedlund is such a gifted storyteller! Stay With Me, the third book in The Waters of Time series, grabbed me from the first line. The atmosphere quickly sets in, and a haunting air wraps over me. And that’s just from the first pages!

I like Sybil and Nicholas, and oh my they like each other as well, and this makes Sybil’s choices difficult. I loved the chemistry—sizzle-sizzle (though a little more than I usually read, it’s still clean) and I turned pages quickly to find out what they’d do and the danger they’d face.

Time traveling isn’t my usual read, but let me tell you, after reading previous books in the series, there wasn’t a question I wanted to read this. I love expanding my reading genres every now and then. This series is a keeper. AND there’s a fourth book in the works. Yay!

Book Three in Waters of Time series continues the saga of time travel by mysterious holy water to 1389 and knights and conflict with France.
Modern day Sybil finds herself entrenched in a war in Medieval times and uses her kickboxing skills to rescue hunky knight, Nicolas, whose brother Simon is out to frame him for spying for the French.
This was quite the tale of Sybil trying to fit in among the simple folk and putting up without modern conveniences, to say nothing of a dangerous plague.
Ms Hedlund puts you in the setting of ancient times and a rumor of a healing water that evil people are searching for. The romance of Sybil and Nicolas is fraught with danger and shows how noble Nicolas is in his intentions to do the right thing. “ I wish to let my difficulties drive me to my knees before my Maker and not to my knees in despair.”
Not all is resolved in this story, so I am looking forward to more mystery and relationships to be revealed in the next book.
Very well done, atmospheric time travel.

Jody Hedlund excels in writing romance but she's outdone herself with this newest book in her Waters of Time series. Sybil begins a quest to find ancient holy water and finds herself drawn into an amazing time-travel adventure that takes her back to 1392! She's helped by a 14th-century man who touches her heart in a way that she's never known but how can she ever hope for more?

This may be a sweet and clean romance, but the chemistry is absolutely sizzling between Sybil and Nicholas. Their feelings, however, are so much deeper than just a physical attraction and their emotional connection is what we all hope to find. Sybil may not know where she belongs, but she definitely knows who she belongs with!

Stay With Me is a compelling time-travel adventure that alternates between medieval and present-day England and the romance is to die for! Hedlund offers a stunning depiction of two people separated by time and place but united by their all-consuming love for each other. Who says that clean romance can't be breathtaking?

Stay with Me by Jody Hedlund is the highly anticipated third installment of her Waters of Time series about the time-traveling effects of holy water. This series is truly unique, and Sybil and Nicholas’s story continues it perfectly. I enjoyed getting to know Sybil in this book–her independent personality, her intelligence, and her ability to kick some butt! I couldn’t help but be astonished alongside Nicholas as she held her own back in 1382. The dynamic between the contemporary, strong, independent, Sybil and the historic, protective, warrior, Nicholas was intoxicating. Despite the centuries between them, they seemed a perfect fit. The building of their relationship was genuine despite the deep attraction between them, and I enjoyed watching their romance progress. Side note for some: their romance is pretty spicy! So beware! I can’t guarantee you won’t swoon.
Overall, I would highly recommend Stay with Me. If you’ve never read a time-travel romance before, don’t let that stop you! The story is rich with historic detail and memorable characters. The romance is sizzling. And the spiritual themes, especially for Nicholas, were inspirational. And although I’d love to see more of the spiritual arc in this story, that is just my preference–it is in there!
I’m loving this series and would love to see at least one more book about Sybil’s brother Dawson. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
