Isaac is in his rookie season. Julien has been his idol since he broke into the league; now they are teammates. Julien carries a trauma from his past but does not speak of it. Isaac and Julien are attracted to each other. Their teammates tell Isaac he is good for Julien once they come out. Unfortunately, Julien's past comes out during All-Star weekend. Can Isaac handle it? Can Julien get past it? Will Julien be believed? Who will have his back?

I loved this book and look forward to the next one in the series. I loved the characters, except for the villain. I loved the camaraderie of the team and the snarkiness between them. Isaac was strong both physically and emotionally. I loved his vulnerability, but sternness is there when needed. He was what was needed with Julien's past comes out. If Isaac is strong, Julien is beyond strong. He has carried the past way too long especially since he did nothing wrong. While it was hard watching Julien fall apart, I was glad that Isaac and other teammates were there for him as he began his recovery. I felt so bad for the thoughts Julien had through the book about him even considering himself to be a bad person. He and Isaac together were so cute and perfect. They complemented each other well. Their love was hot yet sweet. I was glad Isaac was there so Julien knew he had a future. He learned a lot about himself.

Looking forward to more than just one sequel in this series! ( )
