Marc Truesdale is the prosecuting attorney in a civil case against Bio-Sperm. His client's grandson, the last of the family line, had sperm stored at the bank before his death. But Bio-Sperm lost it. However during the much-delayed hearing, the company president reveals the shocking news that the sample was mislabled as anonymous donor stuff and a woman actual did give birth to the Demerchant heir.

The Demerchant child is heir to a billion dollar estate, but the mother, Remy Westbrook wants no part of it. Marc drew up the living trust for his friend David Demerchant, and now that he knows David has a child, he is determined to see that David's son gets what's coming to him, despite the mother's objections. However, the charities who were receiving the funds aren't really excited to hear about the heir and sue the baby as a fraud.

Remy says fine, she doesn't want the money anyway. She just wants to be left alone. But then David's parents who would love to have the income from a billion dollar trust, decide that they should have custody of the baby and begin work painting her as an unfit mother in family court.

Marc is handling both the charity/fraud case and the custody battle, and also has to take on the role of protecting Remy, as it seems someone in the mix decided just taking out the mother would be the way to go. ( )
