It was one of the best books I have ever read! I fell in love with the story, characters and also with place. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. I was excited to check out The Keepers of Aris because it has a great concept. The idea of an Institute of Magic where genetically gifted humans and fantastical creatures train to develop their abilities is creative and interesting. I think this concept wasn't carried out as well as it could have been. It was a little rushed and the world building was not as complete as I would have liked. The characters were a little under developed so it was harder to feel a connection. I think this could be a great series, the ideas are all there it just needs some refinement. Thanks to the publishers for giving me a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review through the early reviewers program. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. Basic story is a good one. The world of magic, final battles, demons or creatures of other realms, all of this is a great concept for this story. I had a difficult time feeling invested in the characters. At first I struggled with the difficult names to pronounce, none of them really felt natural, except Jay and I think I only saw her full name twice and now I can't remember it. I also never understood some of the relationships to each other, some just kind of where all of a sudden an important part but never explained. Some parts felt rushed or lacking in the details that would explain why it's important while other parts seemed overly descriptive and in the end not a significant influence on the story. The battle, which I hoped would be grand, interesting and well layed out, left me confused. If this is a tease for a next book, I will probably not ever see the ending. I didn't find these characters developed enough to find out what happens next. Thank you LibraryThing for the Reviewer copy. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
