Walter Kitty is a cat who’s real name is Fang! He lives the life of a typical house cat with a big imagination. Mr. and Mrs. Biddle don’t always appreciate his shenanigans but you can’t help but love Walter (and his many names).

Good book for early elementary school kids. Good book to talk about pets and imagination ( )

If you're a teen or adult, and like this, you probably would like Thurber, too. Cats, small children, and hen-packed husbands all often have rich inner lives in which they have much more power & adventure than in real-life. ( )

This is a very funny book. The delusions of one cat and the humans that put up with them. It reminds me of a Chester book by Melanie Watt to some extent. ( )

The story follows Mr. Biddle, a cat that refers to himself as Fang, through the usual day of being lazy and annoying his owners. Through the book his owner calls him by many different terms of endearment but insists to himself that he is Fang. While the owners find him annoying, Mr. Biddle thinks he is doing everyone a great favor. He finally finishes the day in the lady’s lap and admits to answering to the name Baby. The illustrations are fun and playful and invite the reader to engage the story.

Walter, an ordinary housecat, fantasizes about the daring adventures of his alter ego, Fang.
