It's been 7 years since Andrew "disappeared" from the radar after being kidnapped & framed by his brother Orson & Luther Kite. Andrew has carved a solitary life for himself in the Yukon until murders of those that were closest to him happen & then he knows that Luther is back. Journeying back into the land of the living, Andrew tracks down Luther's parents along with a police detective who has put two & two together. A showdown of epic proportions happens setting up a huge killing spree. ( ) I did not finish this book. I rarely do negative reviews. If I don't like a book, I just drop it, mark it as Reject and move on. I picked up this book because it's written by the same guy who writes my favorite TV show - Good Behavior. The TV show is so clever and engrossing and wonderful. The book is the opposite of all those things plus it's not well written, the reader (Audible.com) is not nearly as good as so many are. I quit. The problem with this book, is it's just the same shit all over again, in different settings. Luther Kite and Orson go around doing their serial killer thing, while Andrew scratches his head and tries to figure it out. Then, Andrew gets captured by one of the killers and oh noes, they're gonna kill him this time, right? No such luck. It's the same story in all these books. Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty good book, if you're into the whole serial killer thing, which I am. But come on Blakey boy, throw me some curve balls for fuck's sake. Would it kill you to surprise the reader every once in a while? Because all these fucking books are way too predictable. There's really no point to reading 'em, except to fast forward to the killing and torturing. But at least, once you get to those good parts, they're pretty good. Then, I have to stop masturbating when Andy inevitably escapes. Really pisses me off. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Seven years ago, suspense novelist Andrew Thomas's life was shattered when he was framed for a series of murders. The killer's victims were unearthed on Andrew's lakefront property, and since he was wanted by the FBI, Andrew had no choice but to flee and to create a new identity. Andrew does just that in a cabin tucked away in the remote wilderness near Haines Junction, Yukon. His only link to society is by email, through which he learns that all the people he ever loved are being stalked and murdered. Culminating in the spooky and secluded Outer Banks of North Carolina, the paths of Andrew Thomas, a psychotic named Luther Kite and a young female detective collide.
