Even though this is a different version, this still does the job. It’s crazy to see how these books have developed throughout the years but still manage to develop and get passed on. I liked how this book has the pop -ops incorporated in the book. ( ) In my opinion this is a really good book for emerging readers. It has a very sing-song flow to it and is repetitive with things regarding the bus. Young students and ELLs would benefit from this book because it is realistic in the events that happen on the bus like the wheels going around, babies going wah!, and breaks going squeak. Older students learning to read could easily relate to these experiences and understand the text. Younger readers enjoy the rhythm and rhyme and will typically sing along with the adult. Because of the rhythm, kids will often be able to memorize the story and act like they are reading the book. This is a good step in learning to read because they will be able to full demonstrate their knowledge on concept of print and sight words. The overall theme of the book is just a noisy bus ride but the crafty style of this children's books author turns it into an enjoyable learning book. The people are of all the various shades that people come in, and it refers to the "parents" on the bus comforting their baby rather than the "mums" (or "mommies"), so that covers the two main issues I've had with other wheels on the bus books/videos. And the pulltabs are fun, and I like that they mix standard verses like the wipers on the bus go swish swish swish with new ones (you are expecting the people on the bus to go up and down and instead they go bumpity-bump, and if you're two that's some excitement), and basically the only thing I have against it is that it's not Raffi. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

The wheels on the bus go round, the wipers go swish, the doors open and close, and the people go in and out in this movable book version of the classic song. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
