Is your mindset sabotaging your ability to win with wealth? When it comes to money, your thoughts and feelings are shaped by your deepest values and beliefs. Depending on how you combine them, you'll either get closer to or further from your goal of financial independence. Susan Diamond did not enter the financial field as an economist or a financial planner but as a social worker who was interested in attitudes and emotional reactions to money. With her book, she takes traditional money management to a whole new level by engaging the creative side of the brain in financial wellness, which includes looking at how you feel about money and how you relate to it. You can benefit from Susan's money-belief formula in the following ways:? Identify and dispel some of your irrational fears and doubts.? Substitute positive beliefs for the negative ones.? Identify ways to reinforce the new beliefs you've developed. Why that sabotage is causing problems in your life (and what to do about it.)The book outlines a simple, step-by-step process for getting started on creating a solid financial foundation for winning with wealth. Are you prepared to make an investment in your own financial well-being?… (más)

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It was very helpful for a single mom like myself. I have struggled financially since my divorce, and this audiobook helped me solidify the changes I needed to make. I rate it a solid 5 stars.

This audiobook is a pass for me. While there’s some slightly useful advice included, it feels like it’s the introduction to a book rather than a book indented to help people. An entire chapter is dedicated to “prosperity phrases”. No amount of saying “I am….” is going to solve your issues, you need solid financial advice and this just isn’t it for me. A book I previously reviewed “Everyone is an Entrepreneur” did a much better job of giving advice, and elaborating on it and I still use it in my daily life while decision-making as the advice given was extremely useful.

Overall, the narration is good. I just get weird vibes from the narrator. She speaks like she’s trying to recruit members for a club who gathers around once a month to drink flavor aid to be closer to the one true God or something.

I believe I've been rather fortunate regarding my fiscal fitness. I retired from my job with the NYCity Health & Hospital Corporation in February 2010, after working for just over 33 years. My fixed income these days consists of Social Security, my city pension, and a 403B.

The interesting thing is, these days, AFTERs deducting taxes from the three sources I've just mentioned above, my income is over 11.5% more than the income I earned BEFORE taxes. My 403B, thanks to my constant monitoring and lucky fund choices, is almost the same as on 01/01/2010, the year I started taking a distribution of $20,000/year, which is the limit for TAX-FREE withdrawals in NYState.

I used a systematic process for my savings; anything over $3,000 in my checking account goes to a money market account, and periodically these funds get moved into a CD account. My spouse's income gets moved from our joint checking account into a savings plus account for cash withdrawals to handle our monthly cash needs, like food shopping.

Given the status of my fiscal fitness, I can recognize the beneficial educational benefits this book can offer financially naïve women in a straightforward, no-nonsense, easy-to-follow plan to achieve a fiscal fitness of their own. Their being naïve regarding money matters has created the roadblocks they've been forced to endure until now. The empowerment capabilities that the pages of Ms. Diamond's book offer readers of her readers can be described as transformational. Given this and my knowledge and experience of fiscal fitness, I've given Ms. Diamond 5 STARS.

I received a PDF.file of this book from the author through a giveaway she had on LibraryThing, and the above is my honest opinion. ( )

This was a great short read that I will definitely use in the future. I was able to go through it quickly while still being able to pick up the major points and knowing what I'll need to go through again slower. A great resource for those who want to change their money mindset! ( )

I could not put this book down. My Beliefs about money were truly holding me back from growth. Not anymore! Prosperity here I come.

My favorite quote from many sprinkled through this enlightening read about the many ways you can increase your positivity and capability to become more successful managing your money issues. Helps you examine the ways in which your thoughts and habits have influenced your current financial state, with advice and ideas to progress forward to a place of control, understanding your liabilities and your possibilities! Well worth your time and attention. Thoughtful thinking about how you can change your current situation .

As a social worker who suddenly became widowed, this book spoke to me- head and heart. It is written in a non threatening way, and it encouraged me to look within, and address financial issues that I had been trying to avoid. That behavior is not healthy, and I have tools now to address my concerns. Thank you Sue, for helping me and all women who want ( and need) to address this very important topic.

This book challenges women to think about money. How our minds work with us or against us when considering money. Inspiring and insightful tips to help us along the way to a better relationship with money. Quick and easy read with plenty of ways to continue the process and attain any financial goal.

This book was an easy, short read filled with step by step instructions for financial success. As someone who teaches about gender and leadership, Diamond explains rightly that women are socialized to avoid the subject of money and it is to our detriment. She explains how we disrupt this pattern and bias.
