The book is a haunting account of the author's childhood and goes on to explain the horrifying and complex dynamics of coming out as an Indian sexual abuse survivor, even with the security of distance.

This is a beautifully written book relaying the husband's response to his wife's disclosure of child sexual abuse. He provides insights into her Indian family's response in light of their culture but balances it with the importance of being able to talk about these sorts of things. I really appreciate how supportive he was of her, and his other reflections throughout the book.

Obviously I wish this book didn’t have to be written, and that m glad we are giving voices to those who have kept silent for their crimes for too long. That being said I’m not entirely sure of who this book is being written for and in what format. It just seems confusing. ( )
