This is a sweet continuation to the series. Eli has hit rock bottom. He has nothing left and nowhere to go. He realizes that his only option is to return to the family he abandoned 11 years ago. Returning home has a few surprises for him. This is a cute story about accepting the love and forgiveness of family. The characters were sweet, the setting was fun. I enjoyed the story and the people in it. ( )This was a fantastic book! There were so many great quotes but my favorite is, " We both have some shattered edges. But maybe God isn't afraid of our brokenness. I hope he's not anyway." Continuing with the family of Mama Potts, hee estranged son, Eli comes home. He's been gone for 11 years and brings home major trouble. Violet has been working with Mama Potts for years. She is running from her past. After a fire almost destroys the kiln, Eli and Violet must work together and even let their hearts heal. Esta reseña ha sido escrita por los Primeros Reseñadores de LibraryThing. What a sweet romance! Felt invested in the characters from the start and can't wait for the next book. I really enjoyed this story. I have read the first three in the Prince Edward Island series Liz Johnson wrote and the first book in this series. If you have not read the whole series starting with the Red Door Inn then I encourage you to. Johnson has a way of building community with her stories. This story is no exception. Eli and Violet find cheerleaders in the most unusual places. I won't give too much away but it was good to visit characters from the other novels along the way this time. Eli's story was a great reminder that bad behavior has consequences but God is still fully in control. I loved how Eli and Violet's relationship flourished in the midst of two broken histories. God used their backstories to bring them together and bring healing for both of them in ways that were quite unexpected. I love redemption stories and this fit the bill beautifully! It has been delightful getting to know the Ross family and I look forward to the youngest brother, Levi's story in the next novel in the series. I was excited to be part of this blog tour for Revell Publishing. I received the book for free but was asked only to read and give my honest opinion. It was a delightful read! Looking for a hallmark story set in Canada? This has got a lovely prodigal-son-returns paired with enemies-to-lovers story rife with sweet moments and tension. Some throwbacks to the author's other PEI series that have me wanting to read them, too. It is a light and fun read, perfect to pick up for sitting in the sun this summer, though you probably won't want to put it back down. Perhaps more detail in the kissing scenes than necessary, but it doesn't go beyond making out. Overt nods to Christianity and God's redemptive story without getting preachy at the reader. Can't wait for the next one in this trilogy of brothers. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
