Its about a bandicoot named Hunwick who found an "egg" by his burrow after this great storm. He became great friends with this egg constantly talking to and doing things with it. while the other animals felt bad for him because it was like the egg would never hatch. But hunwick knew something that they did not. He knew that it was not really an egg but a stone that was the perfect shape of an egg, the perfect size and color. I think the story shows that no matter what someone may look like that you can get along and that she not play an affect on how you view them or treat them. ( ) This book is about a bandicoot that finds an "egg" after a bad storm and takes care of it but it turns out that the egg is not who it seems. No matter matter what the egg is Hunwick is going to continue being friends with it. This shows that no matter what anybody turn out to be you should love them. This is a good book to keep in a classroom because of its message and illustration. Gosh I wish other reviewers wouldn't give away the ending in reviews - even picture-books, even as read by adults, shouldn't be spoiled. The egg has a secret. I won't tell you what it is. I will tell you to read this book & share it with your children. I love learning about the critters of Australia - so much more satisfying than everlasting bunnies and bears. Gorgeous illustrations enrich a heartwarming fable. After a horrible storm Hunwick finds an egg near his home. He asked his friends and neighbors if it was theirs and they all replied no. Hunwick kept the egg and took care of it. It became his best friend. Hunwick came to realize that the egg was not an egg at all but a perfect rock which he would love the same. This is good to keep in a classroom library and also that you should love a person or thing no matter what they may turn out to be. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
