Oy vey. And I quite frankly lost track of the two main female characters; they're pretty much interchangeable. The villain isn't very villainous. The crimes aren't gone into with enough detail that you feel any loss about the victims...no one felt any loss, really. It's like a writing exercise gone mad - prompt; write about Hawaiian life and concerns of the locals versus tourists and the impact on wildlife. Oh and don't forget to set it in the COVID pandemic, too. Oh and just how are all those electric cars going to be powered when everyone's driving one in 10 years?? Returning to Audible.
