Pernilla Stalfelt a gyerekek által sokszor feltett kérdésekre nem szentimentális válaszokat ad. Elmeséli, hogy egyszer minden élőlény meghal, még a legeslegnagyobbak is. A halál egészen váratlanul is érkezhet. Egyik nap még él a nagyapa, de másnap talán már nem találkozhatsz vele. Minden nagyon üres és szomorú ilyenkor.
Keresi a lehetséges válaszokat arra, mi történik azután, hogy meghalunk: A választ senki nem tudja, csak aki már meghalt. Sokan úgy hiszik, hogy a lelkünk halálunk után Istenhez jut. Ki tudja, talán virág lesz belőlünk… Néhányan úgy hiszik, hogy csillagok leszünk az égbolton.
Elmondja, mi történik egy temetésen, hogyan viselkednek az emberek, hogyan gyászolnak.
Bemutatja, hogy Mexikóban az emberek nem szomorkodni járnak ki a temetőbe, hanem, hogy ott vidáman piknikezzenek.
Jóllehet a könyv komolyan fordul a halál kérdéséhez, de az illusztrációk miatt szórakoztató is az a téma, amelyet (nemcsak) a gyerekek előtt tabuként kezelünk, mi felnőttek.

This is too lighthearted for the subject. I wouldn't give this to a kid to read unless I knew they could handle the strange humor. It's translated from Swedish, so a few customs may be confusing. ( )
