This is a surprisingly good text. Very, very comprehensive - unlike many of the other schaum's outlines. My main beef with schaum's outlines is that some of the important proofs are embedded as questions, which can be annoying as it disrupts the flow. Sometimes you read a theorem without the proof and you have to dig out the proof from somewhere in the later pages.

Preface -- Linear algebra has recently become an essential part of the undergraduate mathematical training of students from many different fields besides mathematics and physics, such as, biology, chemistry, economics, statistics, and all fields of engineering. This requirement reflects the fact that linear algebra has many important and widespread applications.
