I rarely read a technical book about software from beginning to end. This book is one of the exceptions. An extremely well written book which keeps you interested all the way through, and covers a wide range of topics: not just about Julia, but about programming in general.

Since it is self published, there are a fair share of typos and some errors in the code examples. But since you should be trying out all the code yourself, you can also learn from the mistakes.

Julia is one of the best new languages out there. Certainly if you are in the data science field, or any math or science field, you should definitely learn this language. But anyone curious about new languages and programming paradigms, will enjoy learning Julia, This book is a great place to start. Highly recommended. ( )
