I love Bot 9!
When I saw this had won the Hugo for best novelette, it reminded me I hadn’t read it yet. It’s so nice to be able to pull up the audio on the Clarkesworld podcast.

Quite adorable novelette with great robot and AI characters. ( )

The story of a bot who is reactivated and who has to save the ship he's on, meanwhile the other bots on the ship have conglomerated to perform the functions of the humans who are in deep sleep, given any choice Ship wouldn't wake 9 but they're all that's standing between the Ship and annhiliation. The dialogue is a lot of fun and it did remind me somewhat of murderbot. ( )

This was really fun! Great use of some silly Trek-style tropes, and the bot gloms replacing human crew members was a different twist. ( )
