"Through the Leaded Glass" is a modern-day mystery novel, incorporating a diverse group of characters. The story involves heroes, villains, and everyday people, as a recently elected county sheriff, and his future wife, faces numerous challenges. The story involves risk, reward, newfound love, suspense, fear, and joy. Good triumphs over evil, but the journey between the two extremes is wrought with adventure. After discovering a fortune in U.S. twenty-dollar gold coins, Samantha Fields will experience rewards beyond her wildest expectations. Some of these rewards will be monetary in nature, while others will greatly exceed the value of gold. Samantha envisions a home for others. Not a permanent residence, but a place of hope for young adults--people needing help getting their lives back on course. For Ed, Luther, and especially Traci, a seventeen-year-old female on the run from a former pimp, "The Leaded Glass House" will be a sanctuary. Color, race, and gender are of no consequence here, as people with diverse needs accept Samantha's offer. For Abby Barrington, the darkest days of her life lie ahead, and her chance meeting with Chase Duncan will lead to events she'd never imagined. Duncan is an anti-government anarchist, and Sheriff Dave Steele represents a 'problem' to be dealt with. Armed with weapons smuggled to the U.S. from the former Soviet Union, he and his homegrown militia have an agenda to carry out. Standing in their way is DEA Agent Bill Winslow, a recent graduate from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy. He'll be facing his first real assignment as a federal agent, and things that can go wrong, will. "Through the Leaded Glass" includes all of the people found in "The Dowel House Secret", along with a number of new and interesting characters. A reader will not be lost, however, if reading "Through the Leaded Glass" first. It is written along its own unique storyline. Those who have read "The Dowel House Secret" will have all their questions answered in this latest book.We thank you for considering our book, and truly hope you enjoy reading it!… (más)
