Can be read as a stand-alone clean, older couple romance. Maddie and Robert take a trip to the Costa Rica rainforest the week before Christmas to celebrate their one year anniversary. Maddie says no to every adventure (flying on a small plane, skinny dipping in a private pool…) at first then makes a conscious decision to move forward with whatever it is. Even the possibility of seeing a snake. Robert has so much patience with Maddie. “What can I do to help” is his typical question. He’s so sweet and thoughtful. And she realizes that, at least somewhat. “How had he sensed the internal struggle she’d been fighting? The need for more in her life than just work and responsibilities. The longing for excitement.” Their destination for the week is green (environmentally) and in the middle of the rainforest. That means no electric, no internet, no cell service. No electric for a week? I could give up my phone and internet, but not air-conditioning or my iPad and 1000’s of books. Guess I’m not going green or to the rainforest anytime soon. Sweet, loving and peaceful. Especially if you read the first group last year and already met the family. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
