Initially the title intrigued me, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, as soon as the reader turns the first couple of pages the concept becomes obvious. The child is treated to famous landmarks in Washington, D.C. On a two page spread, the illustrator created a place such as the Supreme Court Building. Then, on the next page, the artist drew a scene that one might see on the inside of the Supreme Court Building. There is an illustration of a courtroom with 9 Supreme Court justices presiding over a case and a court artist capturing the scene. I feel that the author geared this book towards a K-2nd grade audience, however, I would use it with 4th grade as well. Knowing landmarks is very important in the 4th grade curriculum. They may be asked about this for the LEAP Test. Teaching ideas include a social studies lesson, as well as an art lesson on perspective. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
