A wholly unsatisfying conclusion to a series that had a promising start but got mired down in dull meanders that ultimately went nowhere.

I infer from the creator's mention of future plans and lack of closure in the end matter that the series probably got canceled, forcing a premature ending that goes all in on ambiguity and the illusion of maintaining the status quo from the first book.

Oh, and the inside front cover has a one-panel strip that sort of spoils the non-ending, so you might want to avert your eyes when opening the book. ( )
