Angel Down has a promising plot with a lot of potential. Unfortunately I found the writing to be a bit slow for my tastes, and was a bit off put by the age of the main character. Many of the situations she was subjected to would have been uncomfortable to read had it been about an adult, let alone a 14 year old girl. I also struggled to understand who the target audience was as it seems as though the writing style was geared toward younger readers or young adult, but some of the subtext eluded to a more mature story line that was offset by the more youthful writing style. Overall, the plot has a lot of potential and I hope that the future books can continue the story. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ( )
