Reliable. Inventive. I find it has too many recipes for cakes and desserts many of which are by their very nature vegetarian anyway ie they could be found in any cookery book. ( )

TO DAVID Who was the founder, inspiration, and creative architect of Cranks.
David Canter died very suddenly on 1 July 1981. He dedicated many hours of work to the writing, production, and dsign of this book, which was almost completed at his death. We have tried to keep the book as close as possible to the original text and offer it as a tribute to his memory.
