I liked the portrayals of the main characters in the story. There were a mixed bag of secondary characters that were likable and annoying. I do feel that the story needed to be expanded more as it didn't feel quite complete in my eyes. This book has such an interesting premise but ultimately fell a bit flat to me. Gaia has such a unique ability and I think if the book had a little less plot and also sharper writing, this could have been amazing. Eventually it turned out to be a book that was okay and which I had to power through a little to complete.
