1380 Why Not the Best? by Jimmy Carter (read 18 Jan 1976) It has been a long time since I read a campaign biography--maybe I have never read one before I read this one. He is definitely my generation, and although his boyhood was much different from mine because a farm in Georgia is awfully different from a farm in Iowa, I thought his boyhood account rather interesting. [Of course, we now have an even better account of his boyhood: An Hour Before Daylight Memories of a Rural Boyhood, by Jimmy Carter (read 11 Mar 2001)] (
