This book is an example of realistic fiction. It could easily take place in present day and students would be able to relate to the story. The students are able to see a different lifestyle that they wouldn't otherwise be able to experience. This book uses few images, but the images that are used are done in pencil. There is shading and details to enhance the images. I would use this book in an intermediate classroom. ( )
