This is a good book for children to read on their own. It can help the children learn how to read a novel book on their own. The way the authors and illustrator made this book like a novel book with pictures. It can give children an idea what a novel book will look like. ( )

A super great early reader with a cute story about 2 gals who get a fairy handbook. The realize it is much work to be a fairy! ( )

How many times does one wish magic can fix everything? Many people think that magic would make their whole lives a lot easier if they had it. Well, Pish teaches us different when she discovers a Fairy Handbook, a wand, and pixie dust. First of all, Pish does not want to read the whole chapters on what she is trying to do. Pish tries in the beginning to get all of the dishes washed by using magic. The only thing is, is that she ends up making the pile bigger than what it already is. The water and soap suds go everywhere making an even bigger mess. Next, Pish tries to help her friend look for his dog that is missing. Pish does all of these spells to find his dog but ends up calling up: a troll, a giant, a mermaid, and a monster. Taking the easy way out do not always benefit someone, in fact, it mostly makes the situation a lot more difficult. Towards the end, Pish is fed up with fairy magic and decides she does not want to be a fairy anymore, but all of the creatures she called upon said they wanted to go home first. Pish and Posh had to read the whole chapter in the Fairy Handbook in order to safely return the creatures. It is important to not try and take the easy road when some one is faced with something they really do not want to do. It usually turns out that the easy way out actually provides more work than what was originally asked of that person. ( )

Pish and Posh learn about how using fairy magic. They soon realize this can cause more trouble than its worth. In the end they benefit because it brings them closer. ( )

Pish and Posh was definitely an easy reader book. Although it was easy to read, I found the story line very hard to follow. The characters relationship was different. Basically I thought that the story went no where. However, I feel that this book would be great for an early reader, just starting to read chapter books.
