This book was about a young girl named Heidi who has lost both parents and is required to go live with her grandfather called Uncle in the mountains. Although hesitant at first Heidi realizes how wonderful Uncle is. In order for Heidi to learn how to read and go to school she goes to live with a family in the town. After learning to read Heidi becomes homesick and returns to the mountains. She continues to keep in touch with the family in the town and they promise to take care of her even when grandfather is gone. This book has short chapters which are wonderful for readers who are just starting to read chapter books. The terms in the book are easy for this age group to understand and the pictures throughout the book helps break up the text to make it easier to get through the chapters. This was a wonderful book for children to learn the importance of friendship and family. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
