Lucky Moon: Book Three Surya Patel is the drummer for the massively popular band Moonlight. When his label suggests a collaboration with Luck, the band Moonlight toured with the year before, he should be all for it. Except he slept with Luck's manager during the tour and then bolted in the dead of night. He's regretted leaving ever since, but he knows being around Em will only lead to disaster. Unfortunately for Surya, the person the label sends to sweet-talk him into the collaboration is none other than Emmanuel himself. Emmanuel Cortez has spent months trying to forget the hottest night of his lifeâthe night he slept with Surya. It's been a year, but not even the death of his beloved grandmother and the subsequent family drama could keep the memories away. Now his job is to convince Surya to collaborate with Luck, and he has to be professional. But a day spent together leads to another passionate night. This time Surya is the one to wake up alone. It only takes Em's departure for Surya to realize he's had a change of heart. The heat between him and Em burns too brightly to be let go. Surya isn't satisfied with just one night anymore. He wants forever.… (más)

DNF, bailing at 5% because it feels too much like book 2, which I also abandoned. Maybe it isn't, but the threat and this author's prose habits mean I'm not going to bother trying to find out; the risk's too high. ( )

This was a great story of Em and Surya. I liked how they came together but I have to admit being annoyed with Em's reaction to Surya's parents. I know every story could use a little "drama" to give it depth but I was annoyed by this drama. Em pledges he is there with Surya for the long haul but then bails at the first sign of trouble. OK, maybe I can understand his concern. But then Surya calls and calls and calls...and then when Em realizes he was an ass and calls him back, Surya decides he doesn't want to talk. Ugh. But at least it worked out. Overall, I love the series and I love these two authors so it gets 4 stars from me. ( )

This book started off really well, but I was a little disappointed with the ending and Em's behavior. I get him needing some space after Surya's parents showed up and insulted him, but he acted like they were broken up by not returning calls or texts or talking to Surya at all. None of that was his fault, and he stood up for Em, so I don't understand why Em wasn't talking him. OK so Em felt badly about it and wanted to talk to Surya. Surya showed up to the listening party with some skanky girl, and Em tried to talk to him but was blown off. So Em goes back to ignoring Surya's calls and texts for a few more days, then after he decides to talk to Surya, he wonders why Surya isn't returning his calls or texts. Really Em?! If you were upset with yourself for ignoring him for a couple of weeks before the listening party, why would you ignore him again when he tries to call you after you tried to talk to him at the listening party. Drama queen much?! ( )
