This is M. Culler's best series and it is capped off with a sensational culmination that won't disappoint. It has Perplexing Mystery, "On the Edge of Your Seat" Suspense, Tender Romance, and a Supernatural Spiritual Connection. All of this brought forth by the wonderful complex characters that she develops. The Mystery and Drama of the story (series) take place in Victorian England where the mores and expectations are very different from the reality known today. The two central characters, Charlotte and James navigate this landscape in pursuit of a murder mystery and stopping a killer, in a very clever fashion, which leads to unexpected outcomes. M. Culler's dialogues and narrative will bring you into the scene, bring a smile to your lips and smile to your heart. I Highly Recommended this entire series. ( )
