Very different, with several points of view. ( )

This is a light Japanese Novel (if I have the terminology correct) that was in the adult section at Barnes and Nobles. I picked it up based on the plot and that I'm trying to read more international authors. However, while this book has an interesting plot, everything else is flat. From the characters, to the station. It reads like a Manga in Novel form, and it comes out flat without the illustrations. It might be the translation. It might be the story itself. It might be me. But even with an interesting concept, the story is flat. ( )
