This new piece written by Cat for the anthology named Ocean Stories, released on World Oceans Day, about ocean life in the future, is stunning. I got to see an early viewing of it, on her Patreon before the website released the full collection, as Cat told us that she'd been picked for a new collection, focusing on the future of the planet, with a hopeful note toward the future in it.
My love for everything she touches continues to to exist unabated. This is the story of a pregnant whale, as she sings the song of her life, her people, and to her child about the world that was, the world that is, and the world that will be. I was very touched by this story, and I keep with me all over again the sea-swallowed cities of the Climate Change, and the resurrection deep of the ocean, where things hide still which have never been plummed far enough to find the secret soul of the sea, or her planet.
