Blackhawk Security #2
Excellent addition to the series. In book one the scene was set for the Blackhawk Security business to open when Mel and Devlin purchased a piece of property to set up their business. In this book one of their operatives, Nico Elliot, heads to Seattle as bodyguard to Julia Stewart, owner and head chef of Madeline’s.
What I liked:
* Julia: professional, competent, good boss, team player, without family, her business is her life.
* Nico: intelligent, capable, lethal, professional, protective, excellent at what he does.
* The chemistry between Julia and Nico
* That the two were wise enough not to take undue risks with their safety
* Zoe: Julia’s good friend and computer guru
* Getting to see Mel & Devlin and think about whether or not they will get together eventually
* Flynn: colleague of Nico’s…he will probably have a book of his own – wonder if he will end up with zoe or someone else?
* That the baddies were revealed and dealt with
* That having an idea of who the worst baddies was did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the story
* That the two main characters managed to get it right in the end
* Knowing that there is another book in the series to look forward to
What I didn’t like:
* The people I was meant to dislike…and there was more than one of them
* Knowing that there are people in the world who are as bad as the criminals in this story
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more in this series? Yes
Thank you to the author for the review copy ~ this is my honest review.
