Turner. In this suspenseful, action-packed story, Canadian border patrol officer, Hannah Morgan, and police constable Layke Jackson race against time as they try to break up a child-smuggling ring before any children lose their lives. Like the first book in the series, Hannah and Layke’s story is action-packed and fast-paced from beginning to end. One explosive scene after another will find you hooked on the mystery and hair-raising danger of a case that will pull on your heartstrings. I enjoyed getting to know Layke and Hannah in between all the action. Layke’s broken past combined with Hannah’s uncertain future made a perfect combination for them to fall into each other. Overall, I enjoyed this story and all the twists and turns both on the ice-slicked roads and in the mysteries surrounding the case. Be prepared for a thrilling ride. Any fan of Christian suspense will enjoy this story! I was given a copy of this book by the author with no expectations of a positive review. All opinions are my own. From the opening pages of Abducted in Alaska, Hannah’s and Layke’s lives are in danger as they join together to protect a little boy and find other children. Criminals hunting you down is bad enough, but when you add in the dangers of a Yukon winter, there’s danger at every turn. I like a book that keeps me guessing, and Darlene L. Turner excels at it until the very end. Sure, I suspected some people, but that kept shifting as the story continued and I just couldn’t nail down who was behind everything. Hannah and Layke both have some big issues from their pasts and had different reactions to them. Hannah clung to God while Layke blamed Him. Yet, we see how God pursued him through much of this book by placing people in his life to encourage him toward faith. Turner gives readers a peek into Canadian law enforcement and the beautiful country along the Yukon/Alaskan border. And once you start Abducted in Alaska, you will not want to put it down again until the end. Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own. This is my first book of Author Darlene Turner. New author to me that I will be reading more books from. Abducted In Alaska, oh my goodness where to start. Is full of action that will have you mesmerized from beginning to end. This story takes us to the Yukon/ Alaska border where Canadian Border Patrol officer Hannah Morgan works. Also Constable Layke Jackson has asked to be transferred after his half brother's son has been kidnapped. Is on a snow storm that Hannah is on duty when a young boy lands in front of her and a man chasing with a rifle shows up. Constable Layke is investigating Children being smuggled across when these two meet. Both with wounded hearts and Trust in God help each other to strengthen it while at the same time pin point who is doing this. This story will have you thinking you found who did it and then think it is someone else, only to reach the end and be Surprised. Never a dull moment, the story unfolds perfectly with Romance, Suspense, Mystery, Action in every page you turn and God's everlasting love. The plotline was intriguing but the story was very dramatic and the execution of the plot choppy at times.
