Their friendship can survive almost anything… **For two best friends, marriage could be their greatest test yet…** Trinity Davis must not have heard firefighter Omar Young correctly. Did her handsome widowed best friend just suggest they get married? Omar needs a mom for his adorable little girls, and it'll fix Trinity's financial woes. But saying "I do" isn't just business. Especially when the only vow they're in danger of breaking is their promise to not fall in love…… (más)

This was absolutely adorable. rtc

~~~
It is not an exaggeration to say that I've been waiting for months to read a book by Toni. I've seen her books all over and was super excited to read one.
My favorite part--and what drew me in--was the characters. They were so lifelike and I really felt all their fears and hopes.
Another notable thing was the families. It is not often that you find such supportive families in fiction and it was so refreshing to see a family that loves and cares for each other.
It was even better than I could have hoped for. I laughed and felt all the emotions of the characters.
All in all, this one definitely is one to add to the top of your TBR.
Rating: 5/5
Romance: crushing
Language: none
Spiritual: the characters are very strong Christians
The very cuteness of this book was just so good!
The friends to more, the darling little girls, and just everything fell into the sweetest story that I had to start rereading my favorite parts over after I closed it.
Shiloh did a spectacular job with somewhat common tropes and turned them into a new and fresh story that I just couldn't help but love.
And, the firefighter side of the story was wonderful! There really aren't enough books out there with firefighters who you actually get to see the realness of the profession or volunteers. I loved, loved, loved that the book was so real without being telly or made to seem informative.
I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary e/copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Oh, I love a marriage-of-convenience story, and Toni Shiloh’s An Unlikely Proposal does the trope so well!
With Trinity’s financial stresses and Omar’s childcare challenges, it only makes sense for these best friends to work together—through marriage. Considering their years of friendship, this sort of platonic arrangement seems like the best solution to their problems. Well, that is until their hearts begin to complicate everything.
As Trinity and Omar sort through their changing circumstances and growing feelings, I so enjoyed their story. An Unlikely Proposal is heartwarming and humorous (especially with his adorable little girls), and I am sure it will delight any reader in need of a quick contemporary romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and the opportunity to provide an honest review. I was not required to write a positive review, and all the opinions I have expressed are my own. ( )
I am a fan of the friends to more romance trope, and in An Unlikely Proposal, Toni Shiloh ups the ante by combining that trope with a modern-day marriage of convenience one as well.
The reasoning and justification behind said marriage of convenience is believable and a good fit for the story. Trinity and Omar have grown up as best friends, but their dating/romance lives have taken separate paths. Now, circumstances have put them both in a place of needing assistance—Trinity for her health, and Omar for his daughters, and what better solution than marrying each other?
Omar’s toddlers provide a few laughs throughout the book, but they are also adorable and wrapped me around their little precocious fingers.
An Unlikely Proposal reminds readers that sometimes when we make decisions to protect our hearts, God can make the results more beautiful than we could ever have imagined.
Author Toni Shiloh is a New to me author. "An Unlikely Proposal" is the first book I read from her. But I got to say I will be looking for more books from her.
In this story Trinity and Omar best friends. Trinity can see how handsome he is but they are just friends. Omar marries Christine but Christine passes away. Now Omar is left with two daughters to raise which can be difficult for a firefighter's work shift. Trinity finding out her freshman year in high school she had diabetes she kept her health to herself.
So, in our days where do you hear a "marriage of convenience" These two best friends needed each other. One for looking out for his daughters and the other to keep her treatment of insulin provided to her.
It was a very sweet story that is different in this time in age, but still holds the Friendship, Trust and Love between two friends that will help and care for each other. I enjoyed how the story between them grew from what they expected or wanted. It made their friendship bloom into the Marriage that was to become from when they said "I DO" Together they faced everything that came at them, which I think made them stronger in their relationship. Even when it didn't make sense how they didn't see that.
It was sweet to read a story that usually is in the past now in the present time. And Author Toni, did a great format in putting strong subjects in the story as loved ones passing, health, work, friendship and family and molded into this sweet story of love can conquer all, in these case True Friendship and Trust in God can see you through. Always enjoy a story were God's Love and message is combined into the story.
A story that you will enjoy to read. And a relationship that became what it was meant to be ... A Family. With God's guidance you can what you may think won't work is the best thing for everyone.
I can't wait to read another story from her. And I recommend you get your copy of it soon.
Received a Complimentary Copy for my Personal and Honest review. ( )
