I have been dying to get my hands on Manning ( wink wink) but seriously I just knew from previous interactions we see of him and how amazing he is and how horrible his wife was, it was going to be so good. Manning is this amazing guy, who would give anyone the shirt off his back, takes great care to be an active father in his son’s life, provides and takes care of his son’s every need, and just an all around amazing man. He likes to keep his life private even if he is the Captain and famous hockey player, so he suffers alone. He is married to the most horrendous person in existence, she seriously is horrible doesn’t have much to do with their kid, cheats on Manning constantly, and refuses to divorce him so she can keep her status and high profile life. I could not stand Murielle and was hoping that she really got what she deserved, so when Manning finds the most amazing person of his life he knows he can’t pursue her but it does set things in motion for him to get his life back. Evelyn is the epitome of perfect woman for Manning, she was hurt in the past but knew exactly her worth and what she wants out of life and even if she wants Manning her morals will not allow her to see things any more forward until the situation is worked out with his ex. Manning asked his wife for four years for a divorce and she took off with their kid until he would drop it and all that time he lived in misery but now will he finally be able to move forward with his life or is he doomed to live in his own personal hell forever? I loved this man so much and my heart hurt for him, but I was so happy with how things go although I would loved to have seen much worse happen to his ex!! ( )

This is the first book I have read by Madison and it will not be the last. I liked how she handled the plot and the characters. I definitely appreciated that she took the time to develop the characters enough that you understood their motives and actions.

In addition, there was nothing in the way of subplots to pull your attention away from the two main characters and enough drama to keep me invested in the story. Even though it was total fluff, it was good fluff. This is an easy recommend to all of you that enjoy a good romance with a happy ending. I think you will enjoy as much as I did. ( )
