This was an enjoyable read. Reminds me of some of the many Robyn Carr books I have read in the past. I love the setting of an Oregon beach - one of the most beautiful places on earth IMO. This book is part of a series, and works well as a stand alone. The heroine is an actress hiding out from the stresses of Hollywood in this small community, and the hero is the owner of the local coffee shop. I loved reading about their developing romance and the town's quirky characters. Katherine is on the verge of being a big movie star, but she wonders, is that what she truly wants. Hiding in Hope Harbor, she is struggling to decide where her future lies. Making her decision even harder, she is attracted to Zach, who has struggles of his own. Kat is trying to get over the death of one of her costars, and looking for answers to questions she can hardly voice. Zach hopes that someday his father will understand why Zach left the corporate world to own and run a coffee shop. Both father and son are still mourning the death of Zach’s brother. So much sadness, but still, there is hope for a brighter future, if they are willing to grasp it. The story is an engaging one, as each character seeks wisdom from others and from God, even as some deal with a lagging faith. Even the secondary characters are well drawn, especially Charlie, an artist and fish taco seller, who has the excellent ability to really see people and what troubles them, and to help. It’s a lovely story, with romance at long last finding a home with more than one couple in Hope Harbor. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
