Chase is the most goal orientated, organized, accomplished woman I have read about and it is honestly amazing how well she sets goals and tackles them instantly, but at times it was frustrating watching her lose herself in work. She is highly competitive and is determined to make her family’s agency the best of the best. The youngest of 4 girls she feels that this sets her apart from her siblings, yet it only makes them worry about her having a life outside of work even more. Determined not to let their competition get the best of them she sets out to find a guy that wrote a letter years ago that only showed up recently, he was a phenomenal baseball player but enlisted in the military instead. Chase’s intentions seem shady, and I didn’t like she was going to use an ex-military guy’s past to further her career, but her heart was truly in the right place eventually, even if she never wanted to admit it at first. Gunner is ex-military, hasn’t had the best home life, struggles with survivor’s guilt constantly, but he is a survivor and that matters the most. He is genuinely a unicorn in the form of a down to earth, humble, kind, compassionate, and loving man who is perfection even with the scars inside and out. The chemistry between these two is instant but more importantly they have a connection that defies logic that they can’t seem to fight. I wanted Chase to be upfront with Gunner so many times because you just knew that it was only a matter of time before he found out her true intentions of being in town, but of course she didn’t. Chase changed herself just by being around someone so caring and selfless, for the better she went from selfish to loving without even noticing. I hated how she was yet another person to break a broken man, yet the way she helped heal his heart was beautiful. ( ) sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

HTML: New York Times bestselling author, K. Bromberg, brings you a romance about love, forgiveness, and living every day to the fullest. I know finding and signing a military vet to the agency is a long shotâ??but it'll be good press just letting him try out. That's what I tell my family, rather than admit I can't get the letter he wrote us five years ago out of my head. But what I tell the bartender in his hometown is a lie. I know veterans protect each other. So I pretend to be a graduate student. Sparks. Flame. Fire. I accidentally got in too deep. I didn't expect to develop feelings for Gunner Camden. And there's no way I can admit to my lies now, not without destroying what we share. So I'll keep faking it. *** There are two versions of me: before, and after deployment. Back then I was a screwup kid. I'd lie, cheat, and steal my way out of everything. My only love was baseball. After I started fighting, I found out there had been another path for me. One that involved my dream. But by then I had seen too much. The old me was dead, so I put my dreams to rest, too. Then Chase Kinkade walks into my bar and reminds me that life is meant to live. No regrets. Fresh. Happy. Hopeful. I can start to see a new dream, with her. But sometimes things are too good to be true... and dishonesty is the one thing I can't forgive. Are you ready to fall for the Kincade sisters and then men who love them in K. Bromberg's sexy, contemporary, sports romance series? These books can all be read as standalones, but you'll enjoy reading them as a series! No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
