It read fast, kept my interest and, although I had an inkling who the murderer was, I certainly wasn't too sure about it or the motive. Part of the motive definitely took me by surprise. Aside from that, the characters were fairly well-drawn and Jenny was very likable. On the downside, there isn't much depth to any of it. ( ) I couldn't believe the number of murders & murder attempts until I knew what it was all about. This murderer had no compunction about killing anyone who might threaten his money & freedom. I still feel sick when I think of Jenny copping a mouthful from the lobster pound - ugh! I'd be pumping myself full of all the best antibiotics. For all she was battered, bruised & nearly killed twice Jenny got very little sympathy because she smelled soo awful - where's the justice?! As for her father, what a useless piece of flesh he is. Perhaps not quite as good as the first book but still very enjoyable. I just wish I could get that gulp out of my mind. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Jenny Cain was thrilled about the Liberty Harbor Restoration, a picturesque collection of shops, museums and restaurants. But when a runaway truck barreled into the project committee, it seemed someone in Port Frederick was out to sink Liberty Harbor. Then a wooden cross raised in unholy wrath made the message clear. Murderously clear. As director of the town's Civic Foundation, Jenny should have been glad when police detective Geof Bushfield reeled in a prime suspect. Unfortunately, it was the one person she was desperate to prove innocent. Fishing for a ruthless killer, she had to bait her trap fast - before the cold New England waters closed in over her own head! No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
