Everyone else annoyed me and maybe that’s why I was rooting for Teddy the entire time. The book is easy to read, but there are a lot of characters that you jump around to, and I found that to be a bit too much. The ending was underwhelming and made me dislike a character that was just kinda meh up until then. Ah I love a book about a Prestigious School with rich bratty kids. You know the minute a minor wind blows they will go nuts. This is book was no exception, especially when the bodies started piling up T Bellstone Academy. Lucky for them the Teacher of the Year, Teddy, takes his title seriously and he proves to be a very eccentric character. He thrived on glasses of white milk, a big no for me lol. I loved the short characters, the multiple povs, involving many characters. Each character was highly developed. The k you for the gifted copy The only author I can think to compare to the experience I had reading this book is Liz Nugent. Samantha Downing is definitely in the savage category too! I kind of love a book where there’s nobody really “good” to root for. I hate to admit this, but I kind of wanted Teddy to get away with it. He’s so evil, but being in his head I was just like- hell yeah go for it! And I knew it was on the table because in a book like this, any ending is possible. I respect the fact that no character is safe- death is on the table for any and everyone. A very fun read- and I will read more from this author! sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

I've read everything.Cecily Strong from SNL for Vanity Fair A perfect summer book.NPR USA Today bestselling author Samantha Downing is back with her latest sneaky thriller set at a prestigious private schoolcomplete with interfering parents, overeager students, and one teacher who just wants to teach them all a lesson Teddy Crutcher has won Teacher of the Year at the prestigious Belmont Academy, home to the best and brightest. He says his wife couldnt be more proudthough no one has seen her in a while. Teddy really cant be bothered with a few mysterious deaths on campus thatre looking more and more like murder or with the student digging a little too deep into Teddys personal life. His main focus is pushing these kids to their full academic potential. All he wants is for his colleaguesand the endlessly meddlesome parentsto stay out of his way. If not, well, theyll get what they deserve. Its really too bad that sometimes excellence can come at such a high cost. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

In this story, we know Teddy has "issues." He's been caught in lies by more than one person. But is he the only one unhinged?
It's a multi-layered plot with underlying themes of parental expectations, what wealth can do to a person, and how teachers affect students lives.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me another fun and twisted thriller by this author! ( )
